The Mesa sits on the bluff just west of the harbor, and we reach most of it in about ten minutes from our State Street base. Salt air, fog, and ocean wind shape the water problems up here. When a corroded line finally gives way, we answer the phone at any hour and arrive with extractors and moisture meters ready to read a fog-damp house.
Coastal plumbing ages faster. The marine layer keeps copper and galvanized lines sweating, and salt speeds corrosion at every joint. A slow drip behind a Cliff Drive kitchen or a pinhole in a supply line can soak a wall for weeks before a stain appears. We use leak detection equipment to find the source without opening every wall, then extract the water and dry the framing.
Under-slab lines corrode here too. When a slab leak surfaces through the flooring of a 1990s Mesa rebuild, we locate it, coordinate the repair, and dry the slab and cabinets before mold takes hold.
